MusiKids is a monthly music magazine subscription for children developmental ages 5 - 8.

Through fun and engaging activities and games, children learn about musical composers from different musical periods.  As they learn about the lives and works of celebrated composers, children also learn musical concepts like rhythm, musical notation, and musical forms.

For our inaugural edition, we chose to celebrate the life and work of Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827).  2020 marks the 250th anniversary of his birth.

Beethoven is a famous Classical composer who penned some of the most recognizable pieces of music ever written, including his Fifth Symphony, Ode to Joy, Fur Elise, and Moonlight Sonata.  Beethoven's music has been featured in films, on television, in advertisements, and in the music of pop songwriters like Billy Joel.  Having composed many of his works while going deaf, Beethoven's personal journey is compelling and inspirational.  His music has influenced generations of composers and is as relevant and moving today as ever.

Some people think music education is a privilege, but I think it's essential to being human. - Jewel
