For the rest of the 2018-19 school year (January - July 2019), our Founder, Marlene Markard, is taking a working sabbatical in Boston, where she is completing her Graduate Certificate in Music Education and Autism at the Boston Conservatory at the Berklee College of Music, which is a program that is offered in conjunction with the Berklee Institute for Arts Education and Special Needs (BIAESN). Marlene has joined the BIAESN faculty at the Boston Conservatory, where she is teaching private piano lessons and general music to students with special needs and twice exceptional students.
We are spending the rest of the 2018-19 School Year in Boston!
Markard Music offers early childhood music classes for children ages 6 months - 7 years of age. Classes for children ages 6 months - 4 years are typically parent-child classes and are sometimes called Family Music classes, because parents or caregivers not only attend these classes with their child, they participate actively in each class. In so doing, parents and caregivers share the joy of music making and serve as models for their children. Learn more about our Early Childhood Music Classes.
Markard Music also offers general music and pre-piano classes for children ages 4 - 7. Though these classes are usually drop-off classes, parents and caregivers are welcome to stay and observe so they are familiar with the material we cover and can reinforce learning throughout the week. Learn more about our Early Childhood Music Classes.
We also offer private in-home piano lessons in the Hamptons for children age five and older as well as adults. Learn more about our Private Piano Lessons.
